In response to my political views (posted on the right column), and the posts I've made here about former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, it seems a few folks feel the need to remind me (via e-mail) that "politics and religion don't mix." I will save my reply to this statement until after the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
But for now, it should suffice to say that, for the most part, I share Mrs. Palin's views and convictions, and I appreciate her as a voice for many like-minded conservative Americans.
That said...I recently read a post about Mrs. Palin on another blog that I thought was worthy of passing along.
If you're interested, you can read the entire blog post here.

Why shouldn't religion and politics mix?? I mean we need bona fide, CHRISTIAN men and women to speak for us on Political issues.. They should be Spiritual in the decisions they make for us, to be able to voice the correct responses to unchristian character, laws, and whatever else may come up against them.. I too agree with Sarah Palin and her views... I would not mind her making important decisions that involved me, my family and friends.. i believe that she would pray and seek guidance from the LORD on those issues FIRST!!!! Just my opinion!
Hello John,
This post on Palin is poignant (no pun intended) and the wisdom is strong. Why not have a spiritual person making political decisions, we have had quite enough of the opposite of late.
I hope Sarah makes a fair showing in 2012 and I pray that the GOP will get behind her bid even though there are some who are saying they won't. You've got to wonder if they have a better choice hidden somewhere.
Thanks,
Rev MB

I agree with these people who send these remarks, because what ever religion they have does not belong in politics.
Due to the condition of the "Church" is the result of "Society". Because we have weak and passive leaders and "religious folk" like them
they just let anybody steer this great ship of a nation. Without a lighthouse, where would this ship be? Who bewitched you?
Know this, A nation (with or without politics) that forgets GOD is turned into HELL.
Because mentality like this, it causes our leaders to forget. If religion is a factor on how a household is ran, then how much more is a nation in which YOU live IN?
I'm not done but thats my peace.....
